CAPE - Craftsbury Academy Physical Education Enrichment

CAPE transforms fitness into an unforgettable outdoor adventure while building students’ self esteem. Taking advantage of our stunning rural landscape, CAPE offers high school students the chance to explore activities that go beyond the gym and participate in outdoor physical education often unavailable in smaller rural school systems. Through activities like cross-country and downhill skiing, dog sledding, fishing, hiking, ice fishing, ice skating, mountain biking, rock climbing, and snowshoeing, the CAPE program offers students the chance to focus on personal well-being, build physical fitness and outdoor skills, develop a lifelong appreciation for nature and an active lifestyle, and earn PE credit with the completion of eight CAPE trips.

We encourage community volunteers to get involved in our CAPE program! For details, contact PE Teacher Jessica Barber at jbarber@ossu.org.
