Center for an Agricultural Economy

The Center for an Agricultural Economy’s partnership with the Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union (1100 students in six schools), focuses on strengthening and expanding place-based and food systems education.

We work closely with various stakeholder groups to bring local and regional resources to bear in support of these efforts. Strengthening school-community connections is a cornerstone of this work and key to a sustainable cultural shift toward improved education, community health, and economic vitality.

Craftsbury Schools Woodlot and Trails

The Craftsbury town woodlot allows our students to engage in outdoor learning a short distance from our school. Our school board provides transportation funding so our students are able to take advantage of this wonderful outdoor learning experience. Students and staff use this location for ecology studies, and other place based science opportunities.
