Physical Education Curriculum

All students in grades K-10 are required to be enrolled in Physical Education. P.E. credit can also be earned by high school students by participating in school athletics.

All of Craftsbury Schools Physical Education curriculum is aligned with standards set by the SHAPE America Program as directed by the Vermont Agency of Education.

Kindergarten through fifth grade classes consist of honing in gross and fine motor skills through games, activities, relays, and other individual and team sports including mountain biking, soccer, and nordic skiing.

Middle level Physical Education classes focus on fine tuning movement skills as well as brainstorming and implementing strategies into team sports and individual self fitness.

High School Physical Education is highly focused on self fitness to promote a healthy lifestyle after graduation. Students are allowed one self fitness day a week to work on their own goals and are required to complete a final project consisting of goal setting and recording progress in fitness or recreation.
